Payback

Her eyes widened in fear as she felt the black leather glove cover her mouth and his warm breath against her neck. His left arm circled her waist as he pushed her against the car door.
She struggled. She whimpered, and he laughed sardonically. His lips brushed against her ear as he whispered, "Remember me?"
Cold metal touched her cheek. She stiffened. Her mind raced, trying to put a face to his voice.
Last week. Unjust accusations. His arrest. Mistaken identity. Too proud to apologize.
"Lucky for you, I don't hold a grudge. Consider us even." Satisfied, he walked away.
