Didn't Lose My Pride

My team lost in a basketball game
in overtime,
my bravery showed I play well,
though we had a losing season,
I carried my team 100%.

I have my pride and believe,
we can win next time,
One thing I gained—
my self-confidence.

I am proud to play
for something better,
even if my team loses,
it shows pride in all I do.

I know I belong,
my team needs me,
we play even though
we may lose.

I love this game and am proud
to be a part of the team.
My pride is from God above,
I rise like an eagle,
and dunk like a pro.
I know I belong.
