Raining

by Mickamus J

Rain is coming!
Pitter, patter,
Rain reliving!
Changes to our lives,
The dark clouds cover,
That we may believe.

The world would be relieved,
Changing our fates,
Like changing our clothes.
We would believe,
Our dreams fueled,
Our desires are restrained,
That we are not able to retrieve.
Rain- pitter-patter,
on my rooftop,
As I sit outside my house,
waiting, listening to the rain.

The clouds gather,
The winds sing together,
Making the trees sway with
Glee,
Waiting for the wind to stop,
The rain to begin.

I looked around,
People walking quickly,
Away from the oncoming storm.
The birds once chirping,
All became silent,
Waiting for the rain.

I looked to myself,
Looking at the clouds gather,
As I sat on my easy chair,
Facing the storm.

Waiting for the raindrops,
Waiting for life to fall,
The distant rumble of thunder,
Distant choices coming forward,
Trying to redress,
Trying to help relieve.

Hoping to achieve,
Knowing to help,
Hoping to allow,
Which is relevant.

Somewhat hopeful,
Somewhat lovely,
My way of life.

I think too much,
I believe too much,
That humans have hope.
Humans can change,
That we can choose,
To follow our ways.
Not to be led astray.

However, can we assure ourselves?
That once, we have good intentions,
Those intentions become real?

It was raining when I was contemplating some things and decisions and how much and quickly the world has changed within the past 5 years.
