Puck Ugly

by Bill Schott

There was a young man from Milwaukee,
whom people thought awkward and gawky;
he was sickly and thin,
a personified sin,
but quite a good goalie in "hawkey".

Writing Prompt
A Limerick is a short, often nonsensical, funny or bawdy poem originated in Ireland. The rhyme scheme of most Limericks is aabba, the meter is 9-9-6-6-9.

Example:

Deflated!

I wanted some deep relaxation,
had trouble with my concentration.
Blamed it all on the rhymes,
on those thieves of my time -
Please, honey, I need a vacation!
