This work has reached the exceptional level
Wars, conflict, loss, but be still and find Him.

Be Still

explosions rattle
earth shakes
war machines
close in
neighbors flee
leaving all

be still
and trust (I am with you)

 

voices shout
tanks roll
threatening action
guns fire
fists clinched
in fear

be still
with peace (I am with you)

 

Hiding behind
locked door
wondering why
war comes
heart moans
in agony
 
be still
and pray (I am with you)

 

ashen skin
cold hands
soldiers close-by
son trembles
gasping breath
heart flutters

be still
in hope (I am with you)


blond hair
blue eyes
my son
clutches me
in terror
what's next

be still
and know (that I am God)

Psalm 46:10 started tracking me down a few weeks back. It was everywhere I looked, from television to the internet and my Pastor even preached on it. It was time to write something using that verse.
