Life's not fair

Movie star

by jenintorre

I wanted to be a movie star
and drive around in a flashy car.
I'd dreamed of this since I was a boy,
mixing with the hoi polloi.

There was nothing else I wanted to be.
Acting was the thing for me.
Designer clothes and shoes would be mine
by Hugo Boss and Calvin Klein.

A luxury Villa in Beverly Hills
with servants, gadgets and all the frills.
Perhaps I'd also buy a yacht
To add to all the things I'd got.

So I went and auditioned for drama school
but they said I'd no talent, I felt such a fool.
My dreams were well and truly shattered
as to me nothing else at all mattered.

All my plans and hopes were dashed.
I was left with a broken heart.
So now I spend all my long, boring days
filling the friggin' shelves at Wallmart.
