Fast Food Flaw

by Boogienights

Imperfections, I have many,
I've written about them here.
But there is quite a bad one
I won't overcome, I fear.

It's my love of eating fast food,
greasy, salty food, deep fried.
My goal is to eat healthy,
no success yet, though I've tried.

It thwarts my diet efforts,
my cravings are quite strong.
I should eat lean meats and salads,
know Mcdonalds is so wrong.

But the food I make is boring,
add to that, I just can't cook.
Wish that big macs weren't so tasty,
plus, I like the way they look!

I see it as a flaw in me,
a weakness if you will.
But I eat it on the daily,
it's an urge that's hard to kill.

It's will power I'm lacking,
it's to say the least, frustrating.
But as long as Burger King exists,
I can't see this abating.

Someday, I'll turn a new leaf,
eating healthy's what I'll try.
For now, though I am craving,
a McChicken and large fry.

:)
