Unwelcomed bedfellows that quiver in the night

A Quiver of Cobras

by Lobber

Queer as you might find,

under your bed might be

intruders of a different kind ~

venom shot before they eat -

eyes with neatly perfect aim -

reaching lengths beyond ten feet.

The obsolete collective noun for cobras is a quiver of cobras.
https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/quiver

Cobras have hollow fangs fixed to the top jaw at the front of their mouth. They use their forked tongue to smell prey. Several cobra species have the ability to spit or spray venom from their fangs. They have the ability to shoot venom directly into the eyes of the victim with terrifying accuracy. Cobras can reach up to 3.1 meters (10 feet) in length.
