Lazy Days at the Beach

When it warms up with sunny days
I like to lie around and laze
on my striped towel at the beach,
with lots of snacks in easy reach.

It’s picnic time! I’ve books to read,
and magazines – a pile I’ll need.
Yes, I’ll remember: 'slip, slop, slap',
and I will wear my big sun hat.

I like to walk along the shore,
its rockpool wonders to explore.
I’ll watch the birds, collect some shells,
admire the rhythmic ocean swells.

When I get hot I’ll take a dip;
I hope the waves don’t make me trip.
Would lifeguards come to rescue me?
I’d like a ride on their jet ski.

I often watch men as they pose.
When I feel sleepy I will doze.
You’ll turn to me with kisses sweet…
Darn! I was dreaming – sunstroke heat.
