A Nonet Poem about my kids.

Even Children Get Older

by Laurie Holding

I'm watching as my children get old:
One uses dye for her gray hair,
one says she's weary from work,
one preps asparagus.
While they talk hands-free,
those busy hands
remind me
of their
youth.
