This is a Rosarian sonnet: a decachord and a quatrain rhymed aabcc ddbee fggf in iambic pentameter. The decachord is divided into two five-line stanzas. The first stanza presents the subject; the second stanza expands or examines the issue. The quatrain concludes or resolves the matter. I've used an envelope stanza here, but you can also use an fgfg rhyming pattern.
The poem is a call to celebrate life "outside the cage of death."
