Love Contest Winner

I love to read I always have,
ever since I was a child.
There's magic in the books I own,
stories wonderful and wild.

Thrilled I was by Paddington Bear,
Dr. Seuss books I learned by heart.
I read them to my children too,
they loved them right from the start.

Books take me to the places
I might never get to see.
I meet interesting characters,
who become like friends to me.

I played with Heidi in the alps,
"Wanted more" with Oliver Twist.
Rafted down the Mississippi,
I trained Gorillas in the Mist.

I fell in love with poetry
reading books...Edgar Allan Poe's
The Raven captivated me
with its dark sad tale of woe.

Movies are great but don't leave much
to your imagination.
The things you read about in books,
will become your own creations.

There's so much more to discover,
new books come out every day.
My love for them will never end,
more adventures are on the way.
