Reaching for the Top

I'm forced to join these contests,
I can't just simply stop.
I have to post two times a day
so I can stay on top.

Yes, rankings are the reasoning
I wake from bed each day.
Things like health or family
I'll gladly throw away.

As long as I can post a piece
and then post once again
within the course of one short day,
that's all that matters then.

I dream of being on the top
where all the poets see,
and everyone shall praise my name
while they're reviewing me.

I'm sorry I must end this piece
but hey, what can I say?
I now must write another piece
to reach my two a day.
