Ever faithful

He cannot leave you nor forsake
among the storms or in their wake.
Whatever happened in your past,
has flown away, in deep seas cast.

The past is useful if we draw
the lessons learned from fields of straw.
Let wisdom be your guide and staff,
consign its angst to space, and laugh.

The only gift that time can give,
is pluck its strings, make songs that live.
This coming year contains wise gifts,
that through past's ruins grace persists.

I offer up my proffered prayers,
that God assuage all troubled cares.
That in their stead He prospers you,
and wealth with health in love accrue.
