So Real

Basketball Dreams

by Carlos' girl

I guess I went there in a dream
It was real or so it seemed
Mom and Dad they were there too
All the good friends that we knew

The country house the old brick school
The village square just like a jewel
Marx's corner confectionary
Grandma and that mean canary

Was this really my hometown
Where I'm in my dressing gown?
It seemed too real was I asleep
Or in another realm so deep

The dream evaporated then
While we had practice in the gym
I swear I scored against the Reds
And they were also in their beds

Now i know it was a dream
'Cause I was no Bird or Kareem
So i awoke and I went to play
I guess it's just another day
