Remembering back to the good ol' days
That was time I wish could've stayed
Feels so long ago since I was a small child
Believe it or not though in my memory it's filed

Playing with friends til the street lamps came on
Running & bike riding until our energy was gone
Time spent outside where parents didn't worry
We were never rushed as nobody was in a hurry

No electronics to use only nature at its best
Climbing trees & playing til we were a mess
Our imaginations were always being used
Friendships & bonds were easily fused

I'm so honored to of experienced the good ol' days
Many will never know as they thought it was a phase
