Stargazing With Dad

stargazing with dad —
he recalls constellations 
but forgot my name

Write a poem with 5-7-5 syllable count. First line has five syllables. Second line has 7. Third line has 5 again.

A constellation is a group of stars that appears to form a pattern or picture

Alzheimer is a term for memory loss serious enough to interfere with daily life. Signs of early-onset Alzheimer's begin between a person's 30s to 60s.

5/7/5 poem written in 3 lines with a 5/7/5 syllables pattern. The lines are connected grammatically and it doesn't rhyme. It's similar to haiku but has fewer rules.
