Time Passed

Time passed

With no limit

Clocks tick along slowly

Sands of time run through your fingers

Minutes turning to hours, hours into days,

Time passes to eternity

I pass time when I write

Verses each day

Time passed

Writing Prompt
A rictameter has 9 lines with a syllable count of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, with the last lines word/s identical to the first. Rhyming is not needed.


I thought this form of poetry sounded interesting, so I wrote this on the spur of the moment after I saw the contest notice. This is how I think of time and I spend a lot of my time this way. Thanks to avmurray from Fan Art Review.
