That's what Christmas Is

The Season of Giving

Christmas - the season of giving
cards and gifts that come from the heart.
It is helping our friends in need,
remembering those far apart.

Christmas - the season of giving
food to help the needy and poor
whether it is something you made
or something you bought at the store.

Christmas - the season of giving.
That's what Jesus taught us to do.
We remember him this season.
I know he died for me and you.

Christmas - the season of giving.
Receiving is important too.
It is spreading joy all around,
hugging those that matter to you.

Christmas - the season of giving,
Singing beautiful songs of praise.
There's sleigh rides, decorated trees.
We enjoy movies, pageants, plays.

Writing Prompt
A kyrielle is made of quatrains (four lines) that rhyme (any rhyme scheme can be used). Each stanza (quatrain) has a line that repeats from the previous stanza. That line is usually the last line in the stanza, but it does not have to be. Each line is made up of eight syllables. There is no limit to the number of stanzas. A Kyrielle is usually made up of three or more stanzas. For this prompt, a minimum of three stanzas is required.
