1) uttered at the end or beginning of a prayer or a hymn, meaning,
'so be it.
*Amen:noun
1) an utterance of "Amen"
Origin: The basic meaning of the Semantic root from which it is derived is "firm, "fixed" or "sure"
And the related hebrew verb also means, "to be reliable" and
"to be trusted"

The Greek Old testament usually translates the word "Amen"
"So be it"

In the English Bible the word has technically been rendered frequently as "verily" or "truly"
...

Verily, Verily, my only son Jason.

(In which not too many people would understand but me)
