This work has reached the exceptional level
a poem

Final Quick-draw Picnic

Blood, still warm,

springing from a riddled chest,

like water through a sieve.

Sand soaks up the scarlet tissue

as the sun bakes it into grotesque images.

Ants are drawn to red mud

each one's mandibles bending into a smile;

it's a picnic.
