Taking the Blame

by Bill Schott

I'll take the blame if you don't mind,
mind and body both involved;
involved up to this very point,
point at which this pain's resolved.

Resolved to bear the total blame,
blame for all the hurt you felt;
felt, still feel, and forever so,
so I play alone this hand I'm dealt.
