New beginnings

My Sunday

I love Sundays,
a time to give thanks
to those who care,
I think about God.

I watch Sunday mass on TV
to share peace and
pray for those in need
of help.

Giving prayers to be
happy,
for everything to be okay.
I'm thankful to be alive.

I am closer to Jesus Christ,
thinking only that 
life is treasured,
I speak the word of God.

Remembering what God's son
preached to us,
it's important to be united,
we are all brothers.

Sunday is a new beginning,
you have a clean slate.
I am lucky to care for others,
I have love, but not hate.

I pray for the innocent
who are suffering,
praying for them
to give those a brighter day.

Sunday is a day
for a second chance
to start over.
