Things are changing quickly now
Temperatures are declining fast
As the rainbow leaves fall down

Greens change to gold, red and brown
Birds' serenades won't long last
Things are changing quickly now

The sun's warmth is in the past
To the ground crops kowtow -tow
Temperatures are declining fast

Cocoa and fires now calm our frowns
Scents of allspice and sage to noses blast
As the rainbow leaves fall down
