Jorogumo- is a Japanese myth: a giant spider that can turn into a beautiful woman. Sometimes becoming a hybrid of both. She seduces men and tricks them into falling into her web and then she eats them
The Kojiki is a compilation of poetic history and mythology passed on from generation to generation in the 8th century before written Japanese existed. It's considered to be the oldest literary work in Japan.
MODERN FORM: The Kojiki is divided into three parts: upper, middle, and lower volumes. Each section is upper 5/7/5 middle 5/7/5 lower 7/7/7 syllables count. it uses a kigo (seasonal reference), which is drawn from a saijiki click here to see list of seasons .
