"Stop sniveling," he snarled.
Tommy was rattled, uncocking the rifle's hammer.
He hated hunting.
His father's toothless grin widened.
"We're makin stew."
Tommy looked down.
A man's body lay still, his face collapsed inward like falling wax.
"Wipe that blood off," his father ordered, dragging the body by the feet.
