Mick, my daughter's boyfriend, partially disabled consequential to a car crash, awaiting in vain a settlement, has neither income nor job prospects.
Lauren, my daughter, disabled by Multiple Sclerosis, gets enough to live comfortably in our house, but not enough to afford independent living, much less to support Mick.
Lauren resents Mick for expecting her to drain her savings on his account.
Mick resents Lauren for prioritizing her savings over their relationship.
Stalemate.
