Couch Potato

The life of a couch potato
is not all that bland,
there are plenty of times
one gets up to stand.

Sitting back and relaxing
is what they do best,
they don't seem to realize
they've had enough rest.

At times family members
have gotten upset,
that no other goals
on the couch have been met.

With a bag of chips
and a bowl of peanuts,
couch potato's are often
found sitting on their butts.

TV. viewing is what
they're known for the most,
when binge watching shows
they don't make a good host.

They get most of their thrills
just staring at the screen,
the emotions they feel
vary from each new scene.

Once their shows are over
it's time to go to bed,
but choose to stay up later
missing out on sleep instead.

We don't often make time
as life gets in the way,
a couch potato's life
would be fun for a day.
