Sweetshop of colour, a glorious sight

Where children pick candy with much delight

Eating their way through a bagful of fun

Each have their favourite, they eat ‘til they’re done

Toffee and chocolate, the counter piled high

Snickers and snakes are never passed by

Here’s to the store of childhood memory

Open on street corner, now history

Please bring them back, or is that fantasy?
