Uplifting today? That’s a challenge, for sure
Not an uplifting thought comes to mind;
People left in Afghan; And our Pres has no plan,
And weak generals, gone Woke, toe the line.
 
But you said, be upbeat; tell of things warm and sweet
Well, I did make some cookies today,
I can send some to you; how is that? Will it do?
Guaranteed to lift spirits, friends say.
 
What do you see as uplifting right now?
I am truly most eager to know
I listen and read and am sickened to see
America going so low.
 
This needn’t have happened
Americans know the subterfuge that has been planned
What was uplifting is what we once were
When Donald Trump was in command.

Like him or not, he put this country first
He was not a part of the elite.
And he never could and most certainly would
Not leave our people there and retreat.

I wish there were something uplifting today
I didnt think things could get worse,
My fear is that by 2024
These bad things cannot be reversed.

 But evil, to win, must have people who think
That where we are headed is right
And I can't conceive of this country's defeat
That wrong will win out over right.

So I guess that this is my uplifting thought,
That we bring back our strength and our pride
And those who believe will speak up and be heard
And countries will hear, far and wide.
