Children's Rispetto

Bunny Kiss

Dear little bunny softly white,
'long meadowlands, come play with me.
Hop quickly now, dart out of sight;
then, rest beneath my willow tree.

We'll munch upon sweet berry treats
and listen to wisp songbird tweets.
Oh, cottontail, share Summer's bliss ...
I'll thank you kindly with a kiss!

A RISPETTO is a classic Italian short poetic form that has 2 stanzas of 4 lines each. The rhyme scheme is abab ccdd. It is written in iambic tetrameter (8 syllables per line) The form is good for children as it relatively short.
