A squirrel story

Acorn Stash

by Lana Marie

Collecting acorns in his cheeks
the squirrel scurried past my home.
Around the tree he likes to peek,
He makes eye contact with the gnome.

So fast he left to hide his nuts
Won't be caught, no if ands or buts.
So happy now with all he's found
time for rest, shutting out all sound.
