Do Not Mess With Lisa

The author has placed a warning on this post for language.

Who writes letters these days?” Jack wondered as he opened the envelope. Before he could pull the paper out, his phone rang.

“Jack Robertson.”

“Do you have the letter in front of you?”

“Who is this?” Jack didn't recognize the woman’s voice.

“You don’t need to know. You have five minutes to read the information in the letter. You will receive a second phone call at that time.” The caller hung up.

“What the hell is going on?”  He pulled out the sheet of paper and unfolded it. He couldn't believe what he was reading.

Listen to what the next phone caller tells you to do. I'm being held in an undisclosed location. Please come, Jack.

Jack’s hands were shaking. “This can't be happening! Someone took Lisa?” Jack was startled by his phone ringing.

“Listen up, if you hurt my...”

“Jack,” he was interrupted by a male voice. “Go outside. A car is waiting. You will be handcuffed and blindfolded.” The caller hung up.

He grabbed his jacket and flew out the door. A limo and a driver were waiting. Jack walked towards the man.

“Where are you taking me?”

The driver said nothing while he zip-tied Jack’s hands and blindfolded him.  He helped Jack into the car. Jack had no idea where he was going.

When the limo stopped, the driver took Jack’s arm, and they walked a few feet until they entered a building.

“Have fun, Mr. Robertson,” the driver said as he walked away.

”Hey,” Jack yelled. “What do you..”  but he stopped when he felt the cuffs being cut and the blindfold removed. Suddenly, the lights came on. Jack blinked.

“Surprise!” his friends shouted. “Happy Birthday, Jack!”

Lisa kissed him. “Surprised?”

“You did all of this to surprise me? Well done, babe, well done!"

I made the note for the picture. It was too much like work! I would be a lousy ransom note maker!
