Mirrors...who needs them?

Reality Checked

by Boogienights

The reflection in my mirror
holds a truth I can't deny.
Evidence that I've grown older,
many years have passed me by.

This old glass and oval wall art,
that I bought so long ago,
was once a friend that flattered me,
now this friend's become a foe.

I think donating to Goodwill,
is the order of the day,
and I'll pretend that I'm still young,
since, in fact, I feel that way.
