My favorite shoes aren't shoes at all
They're Xtra-tuff boots and they're really quite tall
A full sixteen inches to keep out the rain
Or saltwater or fish slime, wet feet are a pain

They used to be made right here in this country
Now China makes them and they still cost me plenty
They aren't quite as good as they used to be
But still I must buy them to keep out the sea

They don't breath too well, so my feet really sweat
I bought them for dry feet but still they get wet
There aren't many options for shoes on a boat
Rubber boots are the normal and rubber my coat

Though now they are new, it won't be too long
Before holes will appear, Chinese boots aren't that strong
I'll go to the store and cough up big bucks
To buy boots to replace them, and that really sucks
