Comforting Words
by Chris Davies
I met my love at a Comfort Inn,
'Bout sixteen we must have been.
I was scared, but she was beautiful.
I couldn't disappoint and that's indisputable.
Trust when I say we didn't get far,
When a siren blared from that police car.
We're married now and very happy
Thanks to that shotgun and her angry pappy.
'Bout sixteen we must have been.
I was scared, but she was beautiful.
I couldn't disappoint and that's indisputable.
Trust when I say we didn't get far,
When a siren blared from that police car.
We're married now and very happy
Thanks to that shotgun and her angry pappy.
