My Spanish Attempt

I needed some rope to hang in the laundry room.
I practiced my Spanish and asked the Spanish-speaking employee where the indoor rope was.
I said "Puedo ver tu ropa interior"
he said "why do you want see my underwear?"
I said "Estoy embarazada!"
He said "You're pregnant?"
