Once Upon A Time when
Time was Once Upon?
A boy had a thought?
But not of a toy that was bought!
A simple game?
No Xbox Fame!
And, but this dream!
(Do you know what I mean?)
Which took many years to come true!
(You wouldn't want this to happen to you?)

He grew up and gave up his toys.
No longer would he like only boys!
No more GI Joe toys!
Cuz now he was growing and into a young man!
Understand?

And, he tried the best that he would?
If only he could?
Perhaps if he can?
But shyness was at hand!
Although he still continued with the thought?
With no more toys to be bought!
Perhaps if he played his cards right?
He would not be alone that night!
...
And yes, he saved not his toys but his money you see?
Consummated and concentrated on his house!
Yes, indeed and Inland not by the sea?

Exactly what's going on?
And, it was now time to entertain!

Yes, Three the number children he need to name!
So, he named all the first and she named all the middles!

And, the three grew up and were joined by two others!
(Stepdaughters)
Nicole Megan and Kyle Erin.
So now the chain was complete!
And he looked back at this tremendous feat!
And this was the end of September 1985.

Now at age Thirty One?
Yes, his work was just Beginning?
(Of course!)
Because a Father's job is never done!
But hold your horses!
The Chariot ride is just beginning?
Because in it's very few years?
All the fun was beginning?

Of course; they consumed and of course; they ate!
And, they consumed!
But that was what triple couponing back then was for!
Yes and they ate!
And, they grew!
And, like weeds they grew some more!

And, they would do what all children would do!
Yes from dancing in leotards to playing in the chorus.
The playing musical instruments and my son Jason's basketball games of course!

And, then the Chariot ride will begin to stop at graduations?
And, then it would continue forward to college educations!
And, this is about the point.

Yes, and then I would soon realize?
My Dream was not always what it was meant to be?

That now was the question?

It seems that now as for my marriage?
There would be no one last shot!
Because it was now heading into downward direction!

Yes, no more when I would leave for work at night?
Yes, to run a night crew at the supermarket just right!
No hold on tight!
Roller coaster ride?
And, right before I was ready to leave?
No more would I get my kiss goodbye?
...
Yes, because now pieces of the puzzle were slowly coming together!
"For Better or Worse till Death Do Us Part?"
Perhaps if I was Moses I could part the Red Sea?
And if I was Jesus Christ I could walk between the water drops of my pain?
But when it came to my marriage with Carolyn?
Unfortunately the only partings?
Would be the marriage going down the drain!

I may be able to teach a child to ride a bike?
Clean and cover a scrape with a Band-Aid just right.
Help that child on the bike and have her hold on tight!
Kiss that Boo Boo goodbye that Night!
But when it comes to repairing the 20-year marriage?
There's no Boo boo Kiss's!
And there's no Band-Aid just right?
There's no wife to hold on to the bicycle so tight!

Because when it's all said and done?
When the record stops spinning and there's no longer any fun?
And now in 2003?
Yes after the car accident and the damage was done?
All that would be left and remained at the end of the hall?
