To speak, but not to hear...
Would make me very dull, I fear.
To eat, but not to taste ...
Would be a boon for an increasing waist.
Were I to lose my sense of touch,
It wouldn't bother me very much.
A nose without the ability to smell ...
Is just a nose, so what the hell?
It's the sense I'd choose to lose.
To envision, but be unable to see ...
That darkened world is not for me.
My sense of sight, the need is deep.
It's the one I'd choose to keep.
