A breakup is hard to accept.

Break Up

by HarryT

When we walked down the avenue,
You turned and said we were through
It dumbfounded me, didn’t have a clue
I thought we were melded with super glue
What am I going to do, my pretty cockatoo?
On my thigh, your name and face is a tattoo
Why have you chosen to cause my Waterloo?
I’m sinking into a weeping, depressing stew
Your leaving is socking me like swine flu
My head feels like it’s hit by a flying horseshoe
I hope you will reconsider and let us renew
We can start again like we are brand new
