Surprise Packet

Life on the street is tough.
You are in a fight for everything; for that last scrap of unwanted food, or the can that will be shelter for tonight. You cover yourself with dry leaves, old newspaper, somebody’s discarded coat to keep the nighttime chill off your bones.
I think I won this fight though. I thumb through the contents of the surprise packet I found with the coat. A big stack of Franklin’s. No more street life for me.
