Dusty Tome
by zanya
To work from home, Anna had to declutter.
Since her husband Rick had passed away, she felt ready to part with some dusty treasures.
She picked up a big tome off the shelf.
Dried rose petals fell onto the floorboards together with a handwritten note, 'Dearest Anna, will always be here for you. Love Joe Winston.'
Anna stared at the withered petals.
'If only..' she murmured quietly before taking a screenshot of the detritus.
