He prowls at night

Stalker

by Boogienights

Secretly in the dark he hides away,
it's been too long since he has felt complete.
Instincts he has that he cannot control,
and soon he looks for prey out on the street.

She senses that he's there but she can't see,
still, she can smell the danger in the air.
She quickens up her pace and she moves fast,
but he moves just as quick and soon he's there.

He toys with her by tossing her around,
and soon the blood within her starts to flow.
With every bite and scratch that breaks her skin,
the pain and fear within her starts to grow.

It's over soon and sated he now feels,
he carries her away, his latest kill.
He's tempted but he keeps her all intact,
not hungry, earlier he ate his fill.

He carries her away and sets her down,
it was but just a short way to his house.
An offering of love I guess you'd say,
his owner grimaced at this gift...a mouse.

His owner stroked his ears and loud he purred,
soon again he would be on his way.
A killer in the night is what he is,
a sleepy docile cat throughout the day.
