The Seven Deadlies

The deadly sins number seven,
Violate them you don’t go to Heaven,
Avoiding them is hard you will find,
Because all seven are entwined,

One thing God can’t abide,
Is showing too much Pride,
Bragging upon your deeds,
Down to Hell it will lead,

Desire for material things,
Everlasting torture brings,
When you want more than you need,
You my friend are displaying Greed,

Tis’ true sins of the flesh,
With God’s plan don’t mesh,
Those who succumb to Lust,
Will surely return to dust,

Begrudging other’s success,
Will become a great mess,
Because my friend you see.
It’s nothing more than Envy,

The deadliest sin to me,
Would have to be Gluttony,
I fall prey and become undone,
Lays tells me I can’t have just one,

God himself has shown Wrath,
When he gave everyone a bath,
I don’t let that inspire,
I hopefully hide my ire,

I have given an oath,
Not to be a Sloth,
As you can see,
It’s hard for me,
My life is simply a mess,
All I can do is ask God to bless,
