Deadly Sins Contest Winner

You can’t make it to Heaven,
If you break one of the seven,
Though you may find,
That they’re all entwined,

When you want more than you need,
Your transgression would be Greed,
Some people have all the luck,
They swim in their vaults like Scrooge McDuck,

I could make you a very long list,
Of people making money hand over fist,
To the poor they don’t have a care,
And don’t dare ask them to share,

I think most rich people are a tool,
They don’t live by the Golden Rule,
They build their earthly riches,
Even though we all end up in ditches,

The acquiring of treasures on Earth,
Won’t gain a Heavenly berth,
The greedy don’t seem to know,
You can’t take it with you when you go,

The greedy shouldn’t forget,
That it’s a safe bet,
Death will be a switch,
Hearses don’t have a trailer hitch
