Money never lasts.

Bills and More

by Monica Chaddick

Buy the groceries, pay the bills
I must say I've had my fill

Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime
Somewhere I must draw a line

Money comes in, goes so fast
How to make a dollar last?

Scrimp and save and try my best
But at my savings I just jest

I would love to write some more
But again I must run to the store

To buy more eggs and bread and meat
Find prices that just can't be beat

Electric, gas, and bills galore
Paying them is such a bore

I want to go nd have some fun
From the cable bill I want to run

They charge me for the phone and rent
I want to tell them to get bent

My check goes in and goes right out
I see it and I want to shout

Come back, my dear, my check, my friend
Alas, it won't - this is the end
