Starting the day right

Early Morning Stroll

When you arise to face the morn
and you're feeling sad or low,
go out and greet the morning sun,
you'll  enjoy its warming glow.

See birds and squirels 'midst the trees,
view the growing, greening grass.
This is our nature at its best
don't let precious  moments pass.

Speak to your neighbors, you may meet,
keeping distance on the way.
Show them your love and that you care,
you'll both have a brighter day.

'Twill help your heart, your health and mind,
be the best of life you'll get.
So, don your strolling shoes and walk,
you'll like it, on that I'll bet.     May-2021

Because of my advanced age, I can no longer do this, but a morning
stroll will lighten the day ahead and get your day off to a better start.
