Waiting On Everyone

by Monica Chaddick

All my day I sit and wait
There is no point of debate

I wait for people to get dressed
I suppose they do their best

When that's done, then I must drive
It's a wonder I'm alive

I arrive and wait some more
My car needs a revolving door

Drop one off and pick one up
My ice is melting in my cup

Gas eventually runs low
And still I go and go and go

Once I've dropped everyone off
I look at the clock and scoff

I've just got time to grab a bite
But I must keep the clock in sight

Before I know it time has come
And now once more I must run

To pick them all up one time more
And drop them to their home and door
