Two Stanza Poem Contest Winner
Mist rises on the satin lake
I gather my rod and coffee to wake.
Resting my paddle, I glide for awhile
my dog turns around and gives me a smile.

A beaver swims by, leaves a rippling trail
suddenly warns with a slap of his tail.
From the pine forest, a single loon cries,
this golden moment, lit by sunrise.
