Getting lost in a novel can often be the greatest escape!

Further to my previous cinquain poems where I used a format I found online, I have written this cinquain poem to the format detailed on Poetry Dances -

A Cinquain is a poem of only five lines. Each line follows a specific pattern. The traditional cinquain, as developed by Adelaide Crapsey, has five lines and a strict structure based on syllable count.

Line 1: Two syllables
Line 2: Four syllables
Line 3: Six syllables
Line 4: Eight syllables
Line 5: Two syllables
